United Kingdom Rainbows in Whitstable back

Alkis is year 7 pupil at Kent College Canterbury. During the period of the coronavirus pandemic from March to July 2020, he stayed at home with his family and followed school online. As he cannot see his friends at this time, he is visiting Whitstable on his own. He is exploring the signs of the town during the pandemic, notably the rainbows that everyone is displaying to show their support to key workers and the NHS (National Health Service).

Alkis visits first the local artist’s Catman recent work to thank NHS workers, a superman hero picture of a doctor. He then walks around town and points at rainbows that various shops and art galleries are displaying on their windows. He finishes his visit at the Whitstable Fire station and one of the local schools where he points out at rainbows drawn by local children.
